Sorry Jenni, can`t help with that one I`m afraid, but I hope the numbness and patches disappear for you. Maybe check with your doc?

Yes Jenni

I have that a lot, its a very weird thing when bits are numb too. Thought that it was the joy of Sjogrens!

I try to use dry mouth spray from boots, its vaguely nicer than the saliva substitutes on prescription, makes my mouth less sensitive.

I have had a horrible tongue since last Christmas. I do get thrush but also the tip is raw and the whole thing is patchy. It gets very sore down the sides as well and certain food and textures definitely make it worse. I actually think it affects my speech at times as it seems to get swollen. My best advice is to stay well away from walnuts as they are killers.

Hi Jenni,
I have similar problems on and off and it is sometimes connected to anaemia, othertimes not quite sure what tho'.....
As soon as i get symptoms I cut right back on tea, i still drink tea but separately to meal times and only 2/maybe 3cups a day. I drink lots of water and occassional herbal teas, definitely avoid tomatoes (acidic) and ....i hate this bit... avoid chocolate..:( ....for as long as i can manage (...not very long usually!;)
i would check with gp specially if this is new symptoms for you, water is my best advice though and lots of fruit and veg.
Hope it improves very soon,
Love Liz xxxxx
